Background:

HETP, Inc. Structured Wire Gauze Packing was developed, tested and is used extensively by the Dow Chemical Company.  It was also sold as INTALOX® Wire Gauze for over 15 years by the Norton Company.  It has been installed in thousands of columns worldwide and over time, has proven to be one of the best performing structured wire gauze packing on the market.

Wire Gauze is an industry term for this type of packing, but in fact it is made using a unique woven wire mesh that provides the packing with a superior wettability, resulting in excellent mass transfer, especially at low liquid rates.
